As we continue to strengthen our leading position in the breast cancer therapeutic area, we are seeking a National Sales Manager – Breast Cancer to join our Commercial Team in Poland. This full-time position is responsible for developing and implementing brand strategy for our breast cancer portfolio.

What will you do?

As National Sales Manager, you will work closely with the Franchise Lead Breast Cancer and Business Unit Director, deploying and adapting the AZ brand strategy to the local market, including tactical planning and execution. You will lead, coach, and develop a team of Key Account Managers, striving to achieve market leadership by delivering commercial objectives (total sales, growth, and market share) through the proactive identification of business opportunities. You will communicate value propositions tailored to stakeholder needs and recommend solutions to grow and develop the AZ breast cancer portfolio.

Responsibilities

You will:

  • Develop sales plans for the breast cancer portfolio by identifying key opportunities and the actions needed to realize them, in line with brand strategy and tactics. Analyze and monitor data on competitive actions to identify opportunities and risks, making recommendations to maximize potential and mitigate challenges.

  • Effectively manage your team and budget, prioritizing key initiatives to deliver the business plan. Accurately plan, monitor, and report team activities in accordance with AZ standards.

  • Coach and train your team to continually enhance capabilities and meet expected performance and ethical standards. Oversee the performance management process and facilitate the creation and execution of individual development plans.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Key External Experts (KEEs) to achieve performance goals and competitive advantage.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure effective implementation of brand plans and provide timely feedback on market dynamics.

  • Demonstrate and promote high standards of business ethics, ensuring full compliance with the Code of Conduct, company values, policies, and legal requirements to safeguard AstraZeneca’s reputation and long-term success.

  • Contribute actively to designing marketing strategy for respective BC products. 

  • Perform other duties within the scope of the position, as assigned by the Line Manager.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Proven pharmaceutical commercial experience and a patient-centric approach with a strong understanding of the patient journey.

  • Demonstrated leadership experience, with at least 3 years in a people management role.

  • Ability to challenge, influence, negotiate, and drive change.

  • Skilled in building effective relationships with various internal and external stakeholders.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset, solution-oriented, and willing to challenge the status quo.

  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.

  • Experience in oncology, particularly in targeted therapies and molecular diagnostics, is an asset.

  • English proficiency at intermediate (B1) level.
